The landscape of the trees in Okinawa has been completed over millions of years.
However, the number of exotic trees has increased due to the war, postwar modernization, resort building, etc. As a result, the original Okinawan landscape has diminished.
We asked "children who make the future" to plant saplings in Okinawa in this work. We will create the scenery of Okinawa with our own hands and watch over it for generations.
Forty years later, around this statue of Agu, a giant tree of Ficus superba is probably growing, resurrected just as the once extinct Agu was resurrected.

He’s a sculptor and Kintsugi artist in addition to working on the historical sites "Ukinju Hainju" and "Wakariji," Shurijo Castle Shoin (audience hall) "Sasunoma Teien," etc.
He is mainly involved in the restoration and maintenance of stone cultural properties in Okinawa Prefecture.
In "Atelier Hitoma" he shares with gold craftsman Kaori Hamamoto, he develops "arts that pretend to be" that moves back and forth between fine art and crafts.
Since 2015, he has been in charge of the stone carving department of the ongoing Ryukyu Kingdom Cultural Heritage Revitalization Project and 2018 Restoration of "Tamaudun Stone Lion."
